The Cold Storage works well, but I wanted something more convenient for things like eggs, milk, cheese, etc. The icebox was used on a sailboat until the owner replaced it with an actual fridge. I added styrofoam for extra insulation and surrounded it on the top and two sides with cob. I mounted an insulated cupboard on top that I use for apples and bread, and on top of that is the kitchen counter. It doesn’t keep ice as long as the Cold Storage, but it serves its purpose.
