The Shower is built over the pit where I used to mix cob, but over time, it got too deep for that purpose. I didn’t want a pit just sitting there behind the Privy, so I put the shower there. It has a changing room with a medicine cabinet (someday, I’ll add a small bench) and a step-down to the shower stall. The water gets pretty hot in the black five-gallon bucket by late afternoon.
The frame is a hodgepodge of lumber from my scrap pile, though I bought some synthetic wood for the floor so as not to get splinters. I’d seen a fence once where the pickets were artistically put at random heights, and I liked the look. Unfortunately, I’m not much of an artist, and it just looks sloppy when I do it. I think I’ll trim them someday.
